Senior IT Governance Officer

As an IT Governance Officer, you will play a central role in defining and embedding IT governance practices that align technology investments with business strategy. Acting as a trusted advisor to the CIO and IT leadership, you will help ensure that IT decisions deliver measurable value, comply with governance standards, and support long term scalability and resilience.
What You Will Do
Lead the definition and maintenance of policies and frameworks for enterprise-wide IT Governance.
Support the CIO organization in steering governance, ensuring alignment with IT Governance principles, standards, and long-term scalability objectives.
Facilitate IT steering committees and governance boards, preparing decision making artefacts, documenting outcomes, and promoting accountability.
Provide expert input to senior risk and compliance committees on technology governance, operational resilience, outsourcing, and third-party risk.
Drive awareness and change initiatives to embed a strong governance culture across IT and business departments.
Promote continuous improvement within IT by encouraging standardization, documentation, and knowledge sharing across teams.
Take a more active role in shaping governance frameworks, facilitating governance boards and steering committees, and providing expert input to senior risk, compliance, and decision‑making forums.
What You Bring
Master’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Relevant professional experience in IT governance, enterprise architecture, or a related discipline, ideally in a financial services or regulated environment. (The scope of responsibilities and level of autonomy will be adapted based on experience.)
Understanding of IT governance and service management frameworks such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 38500.
Proven ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and facilitate effective decision making at senior management level.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business perspectives.
Fluency in English; German or Spanish is an advantage.
