Technology Leader – Architecture & Digital Transformation

This is a unique opportunity to take a pivotal role in a global financial services organisation’s technology transformation — driving an AI-first approach to modern software engineering and architectural excellence.

We are looking for an experienced technology leader who combines strong technical expertise with leadership capabilities and strategic thinking. This role is ideal for someone who can both design and implement architectural solutions and lead teams through complex technological transformations that deliver measurable business outcomes.

The company is establishing a dedicated Service Modernisation & AI function to reduce technical debt, simplify complex systems, and accelerate delivery through automation and next-generation development practices.

Your tasks

• Shaping and executing the service modernization roadmap to reduce technical debt and improve delivery velocity

• Leading the transformation of legacy platforms into modular, API-first, and cloud-ready architectures

• Embedding AI-powered automation across development and delivery workflows to enhance quality, performance, and productivity

• Collaborating closely with divisional technology and business leads to deliver modernisation initiatives while maintaining operational resilience

• Supporting platform engineering by converting legacy services into reusable components and shared APIs

• Driving measurable improvements in engineering efficiency, service reliability, and time-to-market

Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software engineering, progressing from developer to architect and technology leader, including at least 5 years in a hands-on technical leadership role

• Proven experience modernising large-scale, mission-critical systems in production or regulated environments

• Strong architectural design and system-thinking capabilities, able to translate business goals into simple and scalable technical solutions

• Hands-on experience integrating AI and automation into the software delivery lifecycle (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, LLM APIs, etc.)

• Demonstrated success in delivering measurable productivity and performance improvements using AI

• Fluent English (spoken and written) and strong communication skills for working with international teams

• Willingness to travel internationally for short business trips and cross-site collaboration when required

• Residing in Poland required
