Project Manager – financial industry (f/m/x)
The Product Control Project Manager is responsible for end-to-end delivery of change initiatives supporting the transformation of the Product Control function, including process simplification, organisational change, and technology enhancements within Global Finance. The PM ensures projects are delivered in line with Finance Change frameworks, internal control standards, regulatory requirements, and agreed timelines, scope, and quality.
The role requires strong experience in managing complex Finance and Global Markets change initiatives, coordinating cross-functional teams across Product Control, Finance Change, and IT (often in distributed locations). Key responsibilities include planning and tracking delivery milestones, managing risks, issues, and dependencies, ensuring effective communication across stakeholders, and escalating conflicting requirements or delivery risks in a timely manner.
The PM must demonstrate strong governance, stakeholder management, and delivery discipline, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines. A solid understanding of Product Control processes, system change lifecycles, testing phases (SIT/UAT), and business adoption is essential, alongside a proactive, hands-on approach and a strong focus on compliance, operational risk management, and sustainable handover into BAU.
Your tasks

Define, manage, and control scope, schedule, budget, and effectively plan resources
Provide project products and tasks according to the defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality
Organize, lead, and control the work of the project team, motivate, and solve conflicts
Monitor KPIs related to the delivery process and take corrective actions
Ensure proper communication in the project, in particular in the field of team management, sponsor and stakeholders' relationship, project progress and status reporting, decision-making process, and escalations
Effective management of risks and problems
Ensure the completeness and quality of project documentation
Requirements
Experience in the financial/banking sector
Knowledge in Product Control
Previous work in managing subcontractors and stakeholders
Knowledge of the methodology of project management at an advanced level – confirmed by a certificate (PMI / PMP or/and PRINCE2 Practitioner) - will be an advantage
Familiarity with Agile/ Waterfall project management and service management methodologies
Technical knowledge in the field of designing and building IT systems
Practical ability to use technologies in the field of project management
Highly developed team management and communication skills
Leadership and ability to lead and motivate a team
Independence and good organization of work
Very good command of the English language – as a must
Willingness to come to the office in Krakow twice a month
