Project Overview

Join our team as an AI Engineer and support a global leader in the construction and engineering sector in its transformation into a data & insight-led organisation.

You will join the Data Science & AI team and work closely with the Head of AI, data architects, platform engineers, and business stakeholders. Your mission will be to design, build, and deploy AI-powered products and internal tools that solve real operational challenges across project delivery, commercial, and business operations. This role is focused on practical, production-oriented AI development. You will work on solutions such as RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems, AI copilots, intelligent document review tools, and Copilot Studio agents integrated with enterprise platforms, including SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform. You will be involved across the full AI product lifecycle: identifying opportunities, prototyping solutions with end users, validating business value, building scalable services on Azure, and deploying secure AI capabilities into enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered solutions, including RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems, AI copilots, and intelligent document review tools.

• Build AI-based systems using structured and unstructured data sources.

• Develop automated workflows and intelligent agents that improve operational efficiency and streamline project delivery processes.

• Design and build Copilot agents for internal teams using Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft 365, and Power Automate.

• Build and maintain solutions on the Azure AI stack, including Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry / AI Studio, Azure Databricks, and Azure Document Intelligence.

• Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise platforms such as SharePoint, Teams, Microsoft 365, and Power Platform.

• Rapidly prototype AI solutions and validate them with business users.

• Translate business challenges into practical, scalable technical solutions.

• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with AI governance, data privacy, and enterprise architecture standards.

• Evaluate emerging AI tools, frameworks, and models, recommending adoption where they create measurable business value.

• Contribute to engineering practices, documentation standards, and the team’s technical knowledge base.

• Communicate AI concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders, including operational teams, project teams, and senior leadership.

Requirements 

• Minimum 4 years of demonstrable experience in software engineering, machine learning, or applied AI development.

• Hands-on experience working with LLMs and generative AI technologies in a production or near-production environment.

• Strong programming skills in Python and/or another primary language used in AI/software engineering.

• Experience building LLM-powered applications using APIs.

• Practical experience designing and implementing RAG systems.

• Hands-on experience with the Azure AI stack, especially Azure OpenAI Service, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Foundry / AI Studio, or Azure AI Services.

• Understanding of vector databases, semantic search, and knowledge retrieval architectures.

• Familiarity with agentic AI orchestration frameworks.

• Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Automate, or the wider Power Platform ecosystem.

• Experience working with structured and unstructured data.

• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts clearly and persuasively to non-technical stakeholders.

• Experience translating business problems into technical AI solutions.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, iterative environment.

• Fluency in Polish and advanced English communication skills, with the ability to take a stand and be held accountable for technical decisions.

Nice to have

• Experience with Azure Databricks, PySpark, Unity Catalogue, or MLflow.

• Experience with Azure Document Intelligence.

• Experience with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI practices, or enterprise regulatory compliance.

• Experience with ML pipelines, medallion architecture, feature engineering, or classical ML models on a cloud platform
