Project Manager – Regulatory Compliance (Banking)
Purpose
This is a hands-on project management role focused on planning, coordination, execution, and control of regulatory workstreams, ensuring alignment with local regulatory requirements while keeping delivery on track.
Key Responsibilities
Lead regulatory compliance projects end to end, from planning to execution and rollout
Translate regulatory requirements into clear, actionable scopes, plans, and timelines
Coordinate closely with product, engineering, legal, risk, compliance, and external stakeholders
Manage regulatory milestones, risks, dependencies, and remediation actions
Ensure required documentation, evidence, and audit trails are complete and up to date
Support regulatory reviews, audits, and supervisory interactions
Monitor regulatory changes and assess their impact on ongoing and planned initiatives
Required Experience
Proven project management experience within banking or regulated financial services
Strong hands-on exposure to regulatory compliance topics (e.g. AML, KYC, licensing, data protection, operational resilience)
Solid understanding of bank operating models across product, technology, risk, and compliance
Experience working with regulators, compliance teams, and auditors
Skills & Profile
Highly structured, detail-oriented, and execution-focused
Strong stakeholder management and clear communication skills
Comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments
Pragmatic mindset, balancing regulatory rigor with delivery speed
Nice to Have
Experience in digital banking or large-scale transformation programs
Familiarity with local regulatory frameworks relevant to the market
