Data Engineering Consultant (AWS + Power BI)

We work with clients all over the world.For the project that we are working on with our partner, we are looking for Data Engineering Consultant (AWS + Power BI).

Your duties will include:

• Design and implementation of a robust data ingestion framework capable of handling schema changes in a reliable and scalable way.

• Development and maintenance of a transformation layer that converts raw data into structured, business-ready data models.

• Implementation of monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and eliminate silent failures in data pipelines.

• Analysis and optimization of Power BI Gateway performance, including identification and resolution of CPU and memory bottlenecks.

• Investigation and optimization of slow-performing queries in Amazon Redshift to ensure efficient data access.

• Support for business stakeholders through enablement, guidance, and implementation of best practices in BI usage.

• Definition and enforcement of clear data architecture boundaries across operational databases, Salesforce, and the data warehouse (Redshift as a single source of truth).

• Design and implementation of a data archiving strategy using AWS services (e.g., S3 and Redshift).

• Optimization of storage and processing costs by identifying and moving “cold” data out of production environments.

Requirements that must be met:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS services, particularly Redshift, Aurora (PostgreSQL), and S3, including security and networking aspects.

• Solid experience in Power BI, including performance optimization, data connectivity, and gateway configuration.

• Proven experience in designing end-to-end data architectures in complex environments

• Hands-on experience in building, maintaining, and optimizing data pipelines.

• Familiarity with modern ETL/ELT tools such as Airbyte, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, or similar solutions.

• Very good English and Polish
