📍 Location & Setup

Begin remotely and transition to a hybrid work model in Warsaw (3 days/week on-site in the near future).

🧠 The Role: Node.js Developer

We’re seeking a talented Node.js Developer to join our web development team. You’ll be responsible for building and maintaining scalable backend applications and APIs, ensuring performance, security, and maintainability across our platforms.

🔧 Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain server-side applications using Node.js
• Design and implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs
• Optimize backend services for performance, scalability, and security
• Integrate with front-end components and third-party APIs
• Collaborate with designers, developers, and product managers
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions
• Debug and resolve production issues
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies

What We’re Looking For

• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and Node.js
• Experience with Express.js or similar frameworks
• Understanding of async programming and event-driven design
• Experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and WebSockets
• Solid experience with MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or MySQL
• Familiarity with Git and version control workflows
• Experience writing unit tests with Mocha, Chai, or similar
• Familiarity with OAuth, OpenID, and authentication middleware
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
• Knowledge of microservices architecture
• Familiarity with CI pipelines, static analysis, and automated testing
• Exposure to RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications
• Agile/Scrum development experience

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4+ years of backend development experience using Node.js
