The Opportunity
We are hiring an AI Product Manager on behalf of our client to lead their AI product stream, including an embedded AI assistant, document intelligence, and AI-powered dashboards and reporting.
We need a PM who understands how LLM products work in production, including embeddings, document retrieval, evals, tool/function calling, MCP, orchestration, and reliability.
Responsibilities and Duties
Product Vision/Roadmapping for AI-powered experiences across the platform. Manage the end-to-end product lifecycle, from concept to release.
Cross-Functional Collaboration - Work with stakeholders across the company, including engineering, design, QA, and marketing, to manage successful product launches.
Production AI Quality & Reliability - Define how AI features should behave in production, including quality standards, evaluation criteria, permissions, latency expectations, and failure states.
AI Product Judgment - Make strong product decisions about when to use AI, when to use traditional UX, and how to combine both effectively.
Day-to-day Project Management - Support process improvements and the implementation of best practices in product development, including Agile methodologies. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective product delivery.
Product Strategy and Customer Research - Conduct market research to identify customer needs and industry trends. Gather and analyze user data to support product decisions and feature prioritization.
Requirements
Product management experience building and shipping AI-powered/LLM-based products in production, ideally in data, analytics, automation, or developer/platform environments.
Understanding of embeddings, evals, tool calling, MCP, and AI product limitations.
Proven ability to drive work forward and truly own the roadmap and execution of their product.
Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools.
Passionate about working closely with engineering/design/QA teams.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey ideas effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders across the business.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to articulate and justify product and prioritization decisions clearly and logically.
Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
