P1 Integration Consultant (Part - time, 3 months Contract)

At Miquido we build backend systems that operate inside the Polish healthcare ecosystem.You’ll work on production-grade medical platforms powering mobile health & self-care applications, integrated with P1 (e-Zdrowie), Węzeł Krajowy and hospital HIS systems.

This role is for engineers who understand that in healthcare correctness, reliability and security matter more than buzzwords.

You + Miquido =

• design and develop backend systems for mobile health & self-care applications

• take ownership of backend architecture in integration-heavy medical environments

• design and implement REST APIs consumed by iOS / Android apps in healthcare context

• integrate backend services with P1 / e-Zdrowie, including:

  • e-Recepta

  • e-Skierowanie

  • Internetowe Konto Pacjenta (IKP)

  • zdarzenia medyczne and related registries

• implement and maintain integrations with Węzeł Krajowy, including:

  • authentication and identity flows

  • trust and authorization mechanisms

  • secure communication with state services

• integrate with hospital and clinic systems (HIS) and external medical providers

• handle medical and personal data with a strong focus on:

  • security

  • auditability

  • reliability

  • failure scenarios and recovery

• actively participate in requirements definition, translating medical, legal and business needs into backend solutions

• collaborate directly with clients and domain experts to clarify integration and data-flow details

• write unit and integration tests for critical medical and identity-related flows

• create and maintain technical documentation for healthcare integrations

• participate in architectural discussions and code reviews

• refactor and improve existing codebases in long-living medical systems

• debug and resolve production issues in cooperation with DevOps and QA teams

• work closely with mobile developers, testers, PMs and DevOps engineers

We’re looking for someone who:

• has 5+ years of experience in backend / server-side development

• has very strong Java skills (Java 8+, preferably newer)

• has extensive experience with Spring / Spring Boot

• has strong experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL)

• designs REST APIs with:

  • mobile clients in mind

  • versioning and backward compatibility

  • performance and stability considerations

• understands HTTP, authentication, authorization and secure communication

• writes clean, maintainable, testable code

• understands distributed systems and integration-heavy architectures

• has hands-on experience with healthcare or regulated systems

• has worked on systems where data correctness and availability are critical

• understands challenges of backend-for-mobile in health & self-care products

• has practical experience integrating external government or medical platforms

• has real experience with P1 / e-Zdrowie in production

Strong nice-to-haves (highly valued):

• hands-on, production experience with P1 / e-Zdrowie

• experience integrating with Węzeł Krajowy

• experience working with HIS systems, especially:

  • Asseco (e.g. AMMS)

  • Kamsoft

• experience with Containerisation (Docker)

• experience with AWS

• experience with CI/CD pipelines

• experience with NoSQL databases (ElasticSearch, MongoDB, DynamoDB)

• experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar)

• practical use of AI-assisted development tools

• proficiency with modern IDEs

• experience with AI-assisted testing and debugging tools
