Tech stack

Must-have (non-negotiable)

• Java (commercial experience; versions 8–21)

• Spring Boot (hands-on)

• Spring Data JPA

• Hibernate / JPA (solid ORM understanding)

• REST APIs (design + implementation)

• Git + basic CI/CD mindset

Nice-to-have (great if you have it, not required)

• Microservices architecture

• Spring Security and/or Spring Cloud

• Databases: PostgreSQL / MS SQL / Oracle

• NoSQL: MongoDB / DynamoDB

• Caching: Redis

• Testing: JUnit, Mockito

• API tooling: OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL

• Messaging/event streaming: Kafka

What you’ll do (realistic scope)

• Build and maintain Java backend services (new features + improvements)

• Design and expose clean, documented APIs

• Write tests that make changes safer (unit + integration where it makes sense)

• Do code reviews and discuss architecture pragmatically (no ivory-tower debates)

• Work with PM/BA/QA/DevOps depending on the project setup
