Full-Stack Developer — AngularJS 1.x, Node.js/Express

Our client is a music-tech platform that empowers artists to collect fan-submitted videos and photos, manage content moderation, and build direct relationships with their fans.

We are looking for a Full‑Stack Engineer to join the client team directly and take ownership of feature delivery across both a legacy AngularJS 1.x frontend and a Node.js/Express backend.

You’ll develop new features, fix bugs, and implement targeted performance/scalability improvements as the platform brings on high‑profile artists. The role also includes providing QA support and making theme refinements when necessary.

We value those who follow modern trends and leverage tools like Cursor, VS Code with Copilot, and other AI-enhanced environments.

Project stack:

• Frontend: AngularJS 1.3.14 (ui-router), Bootstrap 4, Gulp build system

• Back‑End: Node.js 22.14 (Express 4.21), REST APIs

• Data & Storage: PostgreSQL, AWS S3 (media)

• Services/Infra: AWS Rekognition (content moderation), CloudWatch (logging), GitHub

• Architecture: Monolith

  
  

Scope of tasks and ownership:

• Implement and refine backend endpoints (Node.js/Express) that power uploads, moderation, analytics, and admin workflows

• Profile and optimize queries (PostgreSQL), caching/headers for media delivery, and client‑side rendering paths

• Collaborate closely with PM, QA and UX; participate in team meetings, code reviews, and contribute to internal standards

• Instrument telemetry/logging as needed to monitor latencies and error budgets

• Write clear tickets/notes in Jira; communicate progress and risks proactively

  
  

What You’ll need:

• 5+ years of professional full‑stack experience

• Strong JavaScript skills; proven experience with AngularJS 1.x in production (or clear evidence you’ve shipped on legacy AngularJS codebases)

• Solid Node.js/Express backend skills; designing/consuming REST APIs

• Proficiency with SQL/PostgreSQL (query profiling, indexes, migrations)

• Experience implementing designer handoffs (Figma → production) with attention to detail and performance

• GitHub‑based workflows, code review hygiene

• Clear written and spoken English (Upper Intermediate level or above)

  
  

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with AWS (S3, CloudWatch, EC2, RDS)

• Front‑end performance tooling (Lighthouse, WebPageTest), server profiling (Node/DB)

• Image/video delivery basics (formats, transcodes, caching/CDN headers).

• E2E/UI testing

• Experience taming legacy stacks and planning incremental modernization
