Senior Node.js Developer

The Role

As a Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing backend systems. Your responsibilities will include building new features, improving performance, fixing bugs, and ensuring the platform scales effectively. You’ll collaborate with the wider team to deliver robust and maintainable solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js and TypeScript

• Build and optimize REST APIs to support frontend and AI-driven features

• Use Git for version control and collaborative development

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and bugs

• Ensure high availability and reliability of backend services

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development

Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience with Node.js and TypeScript

• Proficiency in designing and consuming RESTful APIs

• Solid understanding of Git and modern development workflows

• Experience working in dynamic, fast-paced environments

• Proficient in English with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice-to-Have:

• Experience with MongoDB (or other NoSQL databases)

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration

• Experience with event-driven architectures using messaging solutions (e.g., RabbitMQ)

• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (preferably Azure)

• Exposure to Generative AI models and their integration into applications

• Full Stack experience (React preferred)
