Senior Java Backend Developer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Back-end Developer to join our Consulting team and contribute to a wide range of implementation projects across global clients. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services using Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Design and implement secure RESTful APIs, ensuring best practices in performance and security.

• Manage database interactions using JPA/Hibernate and work with SQL-based database engines.

• Optimize backend performance and ensure reliability, scalability, and maintainability of the services.

• Participate in architecture and design activities, contributing to solution design and technical decisions.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional agile teams, including architects, front-end developers, QA, and product owners.

• Apply CI/CD principles, work with source control systems, and support automated deployments.

• Ensure code quality through unit tests, integration tests, documentation, and adherence to Clean Code practices.

• Contribute to project planning and provide input on technical feasibility and effort estimation.

Skills and Attributes for Success

• Excellent knowledge of Java backed by 5+ years of professional experience.

• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining backend services in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and microservices ecosystems.

• Strong experience with RESTful API design and implementation.

• Practical knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases including JPA/Hibernate.

• Deep understanding of performance optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with Maven and Gradle build tools.

• Practical experience with source code management, CI/CD, and automated deployment pipelines.

• Proven ability to ensure high-quality code through testing and documentation.

• Very good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.

• Experience working in international teams and agile/Scrum environments.

• Knowledge of Clean Code principles and unit testing best practices.

To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or another technical field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar IT role within a corporate environment.

• Strong experience with Java and commonly used Java frameworks.

• Excellent communication skills and strong problem-solving abilities.

Ideally, You Will Also Bring

• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ.

• Certifications such as Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure Cloud.

• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other containerization technologies.
