Senior Database Engineer

We’re looking for an engineer who can automate database operations, build internal tools, and improve the developer experience across multiple data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Build Python-based automation and tooling for database provisioning and deployments.

• Develop monitoring and management capabilities for various database technologies.

• Create self-service solutions that simplify work for application teams.

• Automate operational tasks such as failovers and capacity management.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and help keep the platform reliable.

Requirements

• Strong Python skills.

• Experience administering SQL Server or PostgreSQL.

• Knowledge of at least two additional technologies (e.g., Snowflake, Redis, ClickHouse).

• 5+ years working with databases in production.

• Platform and automation mindset; customer-oriented approach.

• Collaborative, proactive, and eager to learn.

Nice to Have

• Experience with internal platform or developer tooling.

• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, or observability tools.

• Exposure to data pipelines or high-pressure environments.
