Team/Role Overview

Automation and Tooling team are looking for Database Developer to join the Warsaw division of its core platform team!

We're looking for someone excited about code!

If you're into building awesome tools and making life easier for other developers, especially when it comes to keeping our software safe and secure, you'll fit right in. We want someone who gets excited about creating great experiences for fellow engineers and helping thousands of them build business solutions securely.

What you’ll do:

• Getting Hands-On: You'll be diving into the code, helping to build and improve tools that keep our software supply chain super secure. This means your work will directly help keep all our software safe and running smoothly!

• Learning Best Practices: You'll get to learn and apply modern software development ideas, focusing on how to build things securely right from the start. We'll show you the ropes of DevSecOps and SRE, helping you understand complex security stuff and create cool solutions that are safe, reliable, and can handle a lot of users.

• Team Up: You'll work closely with other development teams, helping them bake security into everything they do.

• Stay Curious: We want you to love learning! You'll explore the latest trends and technologies in keeping software supply chains safe, and we'll support your journey to stay sharp and up to date.

What we’ll need from you:

• Strong experience with Oracle database development, including PL/SQL programming.

• Proficiency in Big Data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar technologies.

• Solid understanding of database design principles and data modeling.

• Experience with ETL tools and data integration processes.

• Knowledge of performance tuning and query optimization techniques.

• Code Lover: You're a passionate software engineer with a good grasp of how to build reliable code. You're familiar with (or eager to learn about!) cloud-native apps and modern CI/CD tools.

• Some Experience Is Great: You've got some experience in an agile team using database technologies like Oracle, MSSQL, Mongo.

• Familiar with Cloud Tech: You've had some exposure to or are keen to learn about implementing cloud/containerized applications using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, or big cloud providers like AWS, Azure, or GCP.

• Team Player & Innovator: You love working with others on scalable systems, are open to new technologies, and enjoy pushing the limits of what's possible!

• Being well organized and able to keep several activities in progress in parallel, balancing priorities as necessary

• Previous experience working with Agile projects

• Knowledge of database development cycle
