Senior Data Scientist (On-site Warsaw)

Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team, focusing on classical machine learning methods and building predictive models from scratch. The role emphasizes speed, interpretability, and hands-on development of solutions. You will be part of a collaborative team working closely with Data and Software Developers to create pipelines for data ingestion, model training, evaluation, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop predictive models using classical ML techniques (logistic regression, XGBoost, naive Bayes, k-means, decision trees, random forest, pruning, survival analysis, Bayesian Bandits, etc.).
• Provide technical support and mentoring for mid-level data scientists in the team.
• Conduct code reviews, establish best practices, and standardize processes within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure efficient data pipelines for model training, evaluation (backtesting, A/B testing), and serving.
• Occasionally present solutions to senior management or external data science stakeholders.

Experience Required:

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Analytics or Data Science.
• At least 1 year in a Senior role.
• Strong expertise in classical machine learning methods.
• Experience with neural networks, deep learning, NLP techniques, and other advanced ML methods is a plus but not required.

Working Hours: Standard Polish business hours.

• Location: On-site in Warsaw.
