Infrastructure Engineer / Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and operate the cloud infrastructure that supports modern data and application platforms. This role focuses on infrastructure automation, cloud resource management, security, reliability, and operational excellence across large-scale cloud environments.

You will play a key role in establishing scalable and resilient cloud foundations, managing Infrastructure as Code, and ensuring secure and efficient provisioning of cloud resources. The position combines hands-on engineering with platform-level thinking, helping development and data teams operate reliably at scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Manage Terraform modules, state files, and state separation strategies for large-scale cloud environments.

• Provision, configure, and operate cloud resources across GCP and/or AWS environments.

• Manage core platform services, including messaging, data storage, identity management, and access controls.

• Build and maintain cloud-native services such as BigQuery datasets, Pub/Sub topics, IAM roles, and networking components.

• Implement resilience and reliability patterns, including retry mechanisms, circuit breakers, flow control, and automated recovery processes.

• Develop monitoring, alerting, logging, and observability solutions to ensure platform stability and operational excellence.

• Support automated deployment processes, schema versioning, and multi-version release strategies.

• Enforce cloud security best practices, including least-privilege access, audit logging, governance controls, and compliance requirements.

• Collaborate closely with platform, engineering, and data teams to improve infrastructure scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.

Requirements

• 3–7+ years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering.

• Strong hands-on experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with experience in services such as:

  • Pub/Sub

  • BigQuery

  • IAM

  • Networking

• Experience managing complex Terraform environments, including state management and large-scale resource provisioning.

• Strong understanding of cloud security principles, identity and access management, and governance frameworks.

• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and reliability solutions in cloud-native environments.

• Knowledge of distributed systems, scalability patterns, and operational best practices.

• Able to speak Polish and English C1 +

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging platforms.

• Experience supporting large-scale data platforms and streaming systems.

• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.

• Experience in highly regulated or security-focused environments.
