Data Warehouse Analyst

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Business & Systems Analyst to support analytics and reporting systems, with a strong focus on Data Warehouse (DWH) initiatives. The role requires translating user needs into data structures and reporting content, defining target data models and source-to-target mappings, building SQL prototypes, and supporting delivery through implementation and testing.

Key responsibilities

• Collect business needs and translate them into the information content of DWH areas and/or reports

• Define the target data model for the requested change

• Identify source systems and prepare detailed source-to-target mappings

• Build and validate a prototype of the analysed scope using SQL (within an agreed template/standard)

• Support developers implementing the change (clarifications, data validation, ongoing analysis support)

• Test the delivered solution and confirm it meets requirements

• Coordinate activities related to the change (dependencies, communication, alignment)

Must-have skills

• Strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts

• Excellent SQL skills (any database technology)

Nice to have

• Experience in the financial sector

• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure and/or Databricks

Experience requirements

• 5+ years working with data and Data Warehouses in an Analyst role

• 5+ years of experience in data modelling and DWH processes
