As a Data Protection Consultant, you will work with clients to identify, secure, and manage their most critical data throughout its lifecycle. You'll provide technical and strategic expertise in implementing data protection solutions and establishing business processes and policies that safeguard sensitive information. This role requires a mix of technical knowledge, consulting skills, and adaptability in a fast-changing security environment.
- Client Engagement: Define technical and business requirements for data protection solutions tailored to client needs.
- Data Lifecycle Security: Identify and protect high-value assets throughout the data lifecycle, from classification to disposal.
- Implementation: Implement data protection technologies, including Enterprise Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Cloud DLP, Digital Rights Management (DRM), and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB).
- Policy Development: Create and optimize processes, standards, and guidelines for data classification and security.
- Advisory Services: Provide strategic advice to enhance data protection capabilities and maintain compliance with industry standards.
- Risk Management: Monitor project progress, identify risks, and keep stakeholders informed of developments and outcomes.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Security, or equivalent.
- Experience: 1-3 years of related work experience in data protection or cybersecurity.
- Technical Knowledge:
- General security concepts (e.g., data classification, incident response, security policy creation).
- Experience in at least two of the following:
- Data leakage/content monitoring and filtering.
- Data classification and governance.
- Cloud DLP solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication in English (B2 minimum).
- Soft Skills: Adaptability, teamwork, and the ability to independently solve technical challenges.
- Administration experience with DLP tools (e.g., MS Purview, Broadcom, McAfee, Forcepoint) or CASB tools (e.g., Zscaler, Netskope, MS Defender).
- Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, SC-900, or SC-400.
- Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance requirements.
