As a Cybersecurity Cyber Consultant Specialist – Data Loss Prevention, you will be working for a leading international financial organization dedicated to safeguarding critical assets, ensuring compliance, and driving innovation in data security. Your expertise will shape the future of cybersecurity strategies, contributing to the protection of billions of pounds worth of transactions and information integrity worldwide.
Your main responsibilities:
Support the delivery and operational execution of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) strategies and tools across the organization.
Manage and govern DLP policies, guidelines, and whitelist configurations to ensure robust data security.
Collaborate with global teams to implement controls that comply with HSBC Data Security policies and standards.
Lead stakeholder engagement, including hosting governance meetings with senior stakeholders and auditors.
Drive compliance with security frameworks and ensure effective risk mitigation measures are in place.
Co-create and support enterprise-wide security initiatives aligned with global and regional IT strategies.
Stay abreast of evolving security threats, and interpret their implications for the organization’s data security posture.
Manage vendor and external partner relationships related to DLP solutions and services.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
At least 3 years of experience in cybersecurity, specifically within DLP product management or security infrastructure.
Proven expertise with DLP solutions, ideally Symantec DLP, McAfee CASB, or Microsoft Information Protection (MIP).
Experience managing DLP policies, governance, and standards.
Familiarity with agile processes and tools such as Jira and Confluence.
Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead governance meetings and liaise with auditors and regulators.
Formal education in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or similar, with demonstrated relevant work experience.
Excellent documentation and task management skills.
It is a strong plus if you have:
Experience with Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB)
Knowledge of data classification and whitelist management
Certifications in cybersecurity or data protection (e.g., CISSP, CISM)
Language required for the role:
Fluent in English (excellent command of reading, writing, and speaking)
