Cloud Engineer

At KraftCode, we’re all about building scalable solutions, long-term partnerships, and creating an environment where engineers feel trusted and empowered. Right now, we’re looking for a Cloud Engineer to help us take our cloud platforms to the next level.

What you’ll do

• 🛠️ Plan, implement, and continuously improve monitoring systems for infrastructure, applications, and cloud services.

• ⚡ Design and develop automated processes for environment provisioning and configuration management.

• 💻 Write and manage infrastructure as code using AWS CDK.

• 🔐 Work on projects where security and compliance (e.g. HIPAA) matter at scale.

Hard skills

• Ability to create and consume REST APIs.

• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.

• Familiarity with React.

• In-depth experience with Docker and networking.

• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services and interacting with their services and APIs — for example experience with some (but not necessarily all) of: CDK, Lambda, RDS, ALB, OpenSearch, ECS.

Soft skills

• Pragmatic approach and the ability to simplify complex systems.

• A product mindset — focus on value and usability, not just code.

• Ability to drive and explain technical decisions at different levels of abstraction (both to engineers and management).

• Willingness to mentor and share knowledge with colleagues.

Bonus qualifications

• Knowledge of Kubernetes, AWS EKS, and AWS networking.

• Experience with Go.
