What products do we develop?
At KMD we believe that quality services require great teams and inspiring leaders. DIMA (Data, Information Management, and Analytics) is a business unit in KMD that delivers data-driven solutions. We are building products that incorporate a mix of business intelligence, data warehousing, machine learning, IoT, and custom-developed web applications.
As a Solution Architect, you will be working on a cloud-based Meter Data Management (MDM) software solution that accelerates the green transition through energy optimization and ensures efficient operations through high-quality data management across the energy sector. You will also become a member of a cross-functional development team of both Polish and Danish engineers working in an agile environment.

After your morning coffee you will be:
- preparing solution designs and ensuring the best possible match of technology solutions to business requirements,
- defining architectural principles, development standards, technology strategies, and roadmaps for developed products,
- keeping an eye on the technology developments on the market, seeking the best enablers for the product business goals, and presenting those to the stakeholders,
- cooperating with highly qualified product owners, business specialists, developers, IT business analysts, QA engineers, and other solution architects,
- pursuing technical excellence, learning from experts, sharing your own knowledge with your colleagues, acting as their mentor,
- supporting development teams with Proof of Concepts development,
- supporting product release planning process.
We are a GOOD match if you have:
- hands-on experience in Java applications development (5+ years),
- experience as a Solution/Application Architect or in other similar roles (2+ years),
- strong analytical and problem-solving skills,
- knowledge and practical experience regarding architectural concepts related to applications reliability, scalability, and security,
- very good understanding of domain-driven design, microservice architecture, and containerization,
- experience with cloud architecture and services (preferably Microsoft Azure),
- good knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases,
- experience using modeling, analysis, and design tools,
- excellent communication skills and fluent in both spoken and written English and Polish.
We will be a PERFECT match if you additionally:
- are familiar with public utilities business domain (e.g., have worked in a utility company supplying electricity, gas, or water),
- have experience with software products used in the energy industry (e.g., Meter Data Management solutions or Energy Management Systems),
- have worked in distributed agile teams.
