It is also expected that you will pay special attention to leading and driving the improvements within your team in the area of development processes and craftsmanship but always balancing the tech agenda with the customer goals and value it brings. You will act as a sparring partner for your developers, testers, DevOps, product owners, Delivery Managers, and business stakeholders maintaining great cooperation and collaboration.
We also hope you will contribute to the community of peer managers helping us all to improve practices around efficient software development and maintenance.
On a practical side, you will lead a team of the app. 30 developers, supporting one or more customer accounts in Technology and Projects business unit.
You will need to mix ITSM and agile approaches in order to help your teams to be successful in customer deliveries. You will be part of a service-oriented organization (AMS Services) and working also on developing new services for our customers beyond traditional application development and maintenance services. As an owner of different services, you will need to make sure that relevant SLAs and OLAs are met, all that in a favor of our customers.

- Managing Development and Maintenance teams including hiring, career and professional development, performance management, etc.
- Coaching and maturing teams and individuals
- Growing and transforming your team to become fully agile-, service-, quality- and performance-oriented setup
- Supporting alignment between business goals and development activities
- Driving Java technology Capability agenda in AMS division
- Being an owner of application development and maintenance service, following up on relevant service KPIs
- Leading and driving the changes, on development and ITSM processes, team and organizational level, to create an environment that enables efficient delivery of the services towards the customer
- Acting as a sparring partner for Developers and Architects on technology choices
- Setting up and aligning the frames of technologies, methods, and practices and removing impediments for successful delivery
- Working directly with the Product owners or the customers to make sure that team deliveries meet expectations towards the timeline, quality, and budget (including respective reporting)
- Participating in design and development, when appropriate
- Contributing to knowledge sharing with peer managers, forming a strong community of delivery managers, and evolving best practices around team management
- Driving and enabling collaboration and knowledge sharing across accounts and business lines
We want you in our team if you:
- Previous experience in managing teams and individuals i.e. as a Team Lead or Development Manager
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on software development experience
- Experience with full software development lifecycle including production support and maintenance
- Experience with scalable architectures, performance optimizations, Continuous Integration, and Deployment practices
- Exposure to agile methodologies and Scrum/Kanban in the product organization
- Experience with technology management and process transformation
- Ability to bring the team together, drive, motivate and inspire
- Taking on responsibility, initiative, and making decisions
- Fluency in English
- Strong leadership and people skills
