Project

You will be involved in a greenfield financial project focused on building the STP Lending Manager application from scratch.
The project is developed within a highly motivated, cross‑functional product team working closely with business SMEs and developers. The environment promotes Agile delivery, short feedback loops, strong ownership, and high engineering standards.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks based on BDD (Cucumber)

• Drive and advocate quality standards across all stages of the delivery lifecycle

• Collaborate closely with developers and Product Owner to ensure shared understanding of requirements and early defect detectionDefine and contribute to test strategies, aligned with CI/CD pipelines to deliver quality at speed

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Java and Selenium/WebDriverCreate and review Gherkin feature files, ensuring clarity, correctness, and business alignment

• Perform negative, exploratory, and regression testingTest REST APIs, Kafka event streams, and database persistence (JPA)

• Analyze logs using tools like Splunk and provide actionable insights to the team

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong Java coding skills (preferably Java 21) for test automation

• Proven hands-on experience with Cucumber and BDD practices

• Solid understanding of API testing, Kafka, and database validation

• Expertise in test strategy, defect analysis, and testing complex distributed systems

• Experience working in Agile environments with close developer collaboration

• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot)

Nice to have:

• Basic Docker skills for execution in containerized environments.

• Understanding of Sonar for code quality insights.

• Familiarity with Liquibase for DB change control.
