Senior Sanctions Analyst

Salary: 800 - 1100 PLN/MD - B2B

Remote: Hybrid from Warsaw (at least 1 day in a week from the office)

Required availability to start work: from 2 to 4 weeks (max 30 days)

Project

---

Investigations of bank customers to identify potential circumvention and evasion (C&E) risk. The end-to-end process will include investigations into the customer, conducting transactional and counterparty analysis, identifying beneficial owners, adverse media and outlining C&E assessments for each customer. In the event assessments are inconclusive, the investigator drafts Requests for Information (RFIs) to be sent to the customer, enquiring into the transactions/counterparties/changed business activity, and this work involves working with Business Areas to coordinate questions and detailed reviews of RFI responses.

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Skilled in conducting complex investigations, particularly in financial transactions and customer-counterparty relationships 
• Experience in conducting detailed analysis of customer transactions and counterparties to identify potential risks
• Ability to outline circumvention and evasion (C&E) risk assessments for customers based on the investigation findings
• Ability to review and analyze corporate records, including financial documents, to assess compliance and identify potential risks
• Deep understanding of applicable sanctions regimes and regulations
• Ability to identify activities that may be prohibited under sanctions laws and detect potential breaches
• Capable of drafting and sending RFIs to customers, querying specific transactions, counterparties, or changes in business activity

 

An advantage would be

• Experience with research tools such as Orbis and Dow Jones for customer investigations and risk analysis
• Fluency in languages such as Norwegian, Swedish, Danish, or Finnish is an advantage, particularly for assessing RFI responses in the respective markets
