Senior Release Manager

Salary: 800-1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warszawa (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

---

You will work as a Release Manager, responsible for ensuring that new releases to technology platforms and applications are planned and executed efficiently, with the highest quality for customers and operations, and in compliance with internal standards.

You will collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including release managers, test managers, product owners, execution leads, scrum masters, operations teams, development teams, and the central releasing team, to secure safe and successful deliveries.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Coordinate, plan, and maintain the release roadmap for one or more applications
• Plan and coordinate release and deployment activities, including multiple parallel releases
• Plan release go-live and post–go-live activities
• Plan, coordinate, and track change activities throughout the release process
• Lead release decision meetings to secure stakeholder approval for each milestone
• Plan and set up handover sessions from development teams to operations teams
• Increase release quality and efficiency by integrating new techniques, automation capabilities, and DevOps ways of working into release orchestration
• Work closely with the central releasing team

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT or related disciplines
• Over 7 years of experience in IT project management and planning
• Previous experience in release or deployment management activities, preferably in the banking sector
• Experience working with incident, problem, and change management tools and processes under ITIL framework
• Practical understanding of Agile, Scrum, and SAFe methodologies
• Experience working with CI/CD practices
• Basic understanding of DevOps ways of working
• Understanding of risks connected with releasing processes
• Ability to communicate with development teams and create and validate deployment runbooks
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Accountability, proactivity, and ability to adapt to change
• Technical mindset
• Highly proficient spoken and written English
• Flexibility to work extra paid evenings and weekends for implementation events

 

Nice to have

• Experience with release orchestration tools (Helix, Digital.ai)
