Salary: 900 - 1200 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa  (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

We're looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our client's team. This role is about working closely with infrastructure architects to design, implement and ensure robustness and long term viability of infrastructure components. The person will research and implement new technologies and patch sets to enhance current processes, security and performance of the system besides developing and maintaining system documentation needed to operate the solution. The person will be the technical lead of the team and be the go-to person for technical solutions. To succeed in this role you must be service minded, goal oriented, self driven and show a "can do" attitude.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Bring environments management activities towards a goal of 100% automation
• Design and build fault tolerant solutions
• Design and build highly scalable, secure and easy to manage solutions
• Research and recommend innovative approaches for system administration tasks

Expected competences and knowledge

• Solid experience with Oracle stack (Database, Weblogic, Oracle Service Bus)
• Solid experience in Linux administration
• Solid experience in multi-server farms management
• Experience in network topology design, security, performance and fault tolerant architecture
• Experience with application virtualization and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience deploying Java applications
• Excellent analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Good understanding of network and server virtualization
• Application development or engineering experience
• Graduate degree in Computer Science, Telecommunication and/or related fields
• Experience implementing monitoring tools (Splunk, AppDynamics/Dynatrace, Sysdig, Grafana, Prometheus, Telegraf, Influx DB)

Nice to have

• Experience with Red Hat and windows
• Hands on J2EE operations experience
• Experience with Big Data infrastructure (Hadoop, Kafka, etc)
• Expertise in scripting using a variety of tools (shell, bash, perl, python)
• Work experience as a network engineer
• Practical knowledge of Functional and Non-Functional Testing
