Senior Java Developer with Kafka

Salary: 1000-1300 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warsaw (at least 1 day per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on supporting the development and delivery of business functionalities for the PIP Downtown team. This initiative plays a key role in enhancing and maintaining distributed systems with a strong emphasis on real-time data processing and event-driven architectures. The goal is to develop high-performance, scalable, and resilient applications that serve critical business needs within the financial domain.

We are looking for a highly experienced Java developer with a strong background in Kafka and relational databases, who is also well-versed in architectural patterns like microservices, domain-driven design, and event sourcing.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Develop and maintain backend services in Java

• Design and optimize Kafka producer and consumer logic

• Work with relational databases such as Oracle, DB2, or MSSQL

• Build distributed, highly-available, and high-throughput applications

• Apply domain-driven design, event sourcing, and microservices architecture patterns

• Ensure clean and maintainable code throughout development

Expected competences and knowledge

• Java – Expert level

• Kafka – Senior level

• SQL (Oracle, DB2, MSSQL or similar)

• Experience with distributed systems
