Senior Java Developer

Salary: 1000-1200 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (2-3 days per week from the office)

Project

You will be involved in a financial project focused on modernizing corporate digital banking services and building a new online banking platform for corporate customers. The project aims to replace a legacy corporate netbanking system with a modern digital channel that improves payments, account management, liquidity overview, employee administration, and permissions management. The environment includes both microservice and monolithic architectures, with a strong focus on API development, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), reactive programming, and resilient system architecture.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Developing and enhancing backend services and APIs for corporate banking solutions
• Building new features that modernize banking services related to accounts, payments, file transfers, and international/local financial services
• Maintaining and improving systems within microservice and monolithic architectures
• Collaborating with developers, product owners, architects, analysts, and QA teams to deliver business solutions
• Implementing scalable and resilient solutions using DDD, port-adapter architecture, and reactive programming
• Supporting maintenance, compliance, and continuous improvement of essential banking services

Expected competences and knowledge

• Strong hands-on experience in Java development (preferably 6+ years)
• Experience in building API solutions and working with REST services
• Familiarity with reactive programming and distributed systems
• Practical knowledge of Spring, Hibernate, SQL, Microservices, Git, and Cucumber
• Understanding of SOLID principles, design patterns, and clean architecture concepts (DDD / Port-Adapter)
• Experience working in Agile/SAFe environments and strong English communication skills
