Project

We are specifically looking for a Java Developer who has a strong background as a Database Developer or has hands-on experience with T-SQL. This role requires someone who feels equally comfortable writing performant SQL queries as they do working with Java code.

What you'll be doing

• Design, implement, and maintain complex database solutions using Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, and Microsoft SQL Server
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into efficient and scalable software solutions
• Develop high-quality, reusable, and modular code in Java to enhance the functionality and performance of our applications
• Conduct code reviews, provide mentorship, and offer constructive feedback to junior developers
• Optimize database queries and troubleshoot performance issues in both databases and application code
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our software solutions remain at the forefront of innovation

Expected competences and knowledge

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Senior Developer with expertise in Transact-SQL, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Java
• Strong database design, optimization, and administration skills
• Experience with performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing in SQL Server and PostgreSQL
• Solid understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
