Salary: 800-1000 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warsaw (at least 1 day per week from the office)

Project

Join a team responsible for developing and maintaining Kafka-based infrastructure and services for one of Europe’s leading banks. This role involves designing and implementing event-driven architectures, creating Kafka-based solutions, and supporting internal clients with troubleshooting platform-related issues. The core platform relies on Kafka, Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, ensuring scalability, resilience, and high performance. As a Senior Java Developer, you will take part in designing, building, and optimizing Kafka producer and consumer applications, integrating with various bank systems.

 

Responsibilities you'll have

• Developing and maintaining Kafka-based solutions with Java and Spring Boot
• Building scalable microservices and REST APIs for high-throughput processing
• Designing Kafka producers, consumers, connectors, and stream processing applications
• Troubleshooting Kafka infrastructure issues and supporting internal clients
• Ensuring data serialization and schema evolution with Avro, JSON, ProtoBuff
• Optimizing Kafka cluster design for resilience and scalability

• Collaborating with DevOps and cloud engineers to improve CI/CD and containerized deployments

 

Expected competences and knowledge

• 5+ years of experience in Java, Kafka, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs
• Deep understanding of Kafka architecture, event-driven systems, and messaging patterns
• Hands-on experience in building Kafka producer and consumer applications
• Familiarity with Kafka Connector & Kafka Streams for data processing
• Experience with data serialization formats (Avro, JSON, ProtoBuff)
• Good knowledge of Kafka infrastructure design and best practices

 

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Familiarity with DevOps tools (JIRA, Bamboo, Maven, Git, Artifactory, Ansible)
