Senior Database Support Specialist

Salary: 700 - 950 PLN/day on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Warszawa (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Project

We are looking for a Senior Database Support Specialist in Warsaw to improve databases support. You will join a team of over a dozen employees and external consultants, collaborating to deliver comprehensive database support for our client. In this position you will be collaborating closely with Database Engineering (governance, security, architecture & design) team running projects & defining infrastructures future and the external company doing most of daily support operation work from India.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Support and optimize large-scale database environments (MS SQL, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve database incidents
• Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on infrastructure and governance
• Define and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Ensure compliance with cybersecurity and engineering policies
• Drive automation and continuous process improvement
• Taking ownership and delivering results

Expected competences and knowledge

• Experience in managing at least a few hundreds of MS SQL, Azure Cosmos
• Skilled at daily DBA management (diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, responding to incidents and quickly  restoring services, delivering technical consultation to other units, etc.)
• Skilled at planning and controlling IT operations (defining, creating and ensuring following of standard operating 
• Procedures, ensuring compliance with policies from Engineering and Cybersecurity, patching, upgrading, hardening, monitoring, etc.
• Having proficiency in English, spoken and written B2
• Experienced with working for a financial institution would be a plus
• Result oriented, proactive in automation and optimization
• Analytical, accurate and taking care of details, caring for quality
• Collaborative, having team player approach
