Salary: 125 - 165 PLN net/h + VAT on B2B

Work model: elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk / Warszawa / Łódź (40% remote / 60% onsite weekly)

Project

We are looking for a skilled Data Engineer to join our cross-functional team working on advanced machine learning and data-driven solutions. In this role, you’ll be at the heart of transforming raw data into meaningful insights, enabling impactful AI/ML use cases and driving real business value. You will collaborate closely with Data Scientists, DevOps Engineers, and Business Analysts to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines and infrastructure.

Responsibilities you'll have

• Design, build, and maintain robust and scalable data pipelines for both batch and real-time processing using Spark and Python
• Manage the full lifecycle of machine learning models — from development to deployment, monitoring, and optimization
• Apply MLOps best practices including CI/CD, model testing, and automated deployment pipelines
• Collaborate with Data Scientists and Analysts to develop and deploy analytical and ML models
• Transform and enrich large-scale structured and unstructured data for search, visualization, and advanced analytics
• Optimize and scale our existing MLOps infrastructure to support broader use cases beyond propensity models
• Explore cloud-based AI/ML solutions and contribute to architectural decisions
• Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions

Expected competences and knowledge

• Minimum 5 years of experience in data engineering or a similar role
• Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, Scala and SQL (Spark/Hive SQL)
• Solid background in algorithms, data structures, statistics, and linear algebra
• Experience in designing, building, and maintaining distributed systems and data pipelines
• Familiarity with Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch 
• Practical experience in training, refining, and deploying ML models
• Proven experience with cloud infrastructure (especially AWS)
• Experience with ETL development, data testing, and building real-time data flows
• Familiar with Bitbucket, Git, and branching/versioning strategies
• Good command of English (spoken and written) - min. B2
• Nice to Have:
  • Experience with customer analytics ML models
  • Prior involvement in deploying recommender systems or marketing-focused ML solutions
