Project

As a Frontend Tech Lead, you'll drive the innovation and evolution of our frontend platform, working primarily with React and our web-based applications. You’ll play a key role in defining frontend technical strategy and architecture, while remaining hands-on with code. You'll work closely with the design and product teams to ensure complex construction workflows are intuitive and engaging for our users.

This role combines strong frontend engineering expertise with technical leadership and product thinking. As the client expands their AI capabilities, you'll lead the frontend efforts in creating intelligent, user-friendly interfaces that make AI features accessible to construction professionals, while guiding the team toward scalable and maintainable solutions.

What you'll be doing

• Drive frontend innovation and evolution of our React-based applications, setting technical direction for our user interfaces
  
• Champion user experience by creating intuitive, responsive interfaces that make complex construction workflows simple
  
• Act as a frontend technical leader, supporting and guiding engineers through code reviews, architectural discussions, and best practices
• Lead AI interface integration by designing and implementing user-friendly AI features and interactions
  
• Collaborate with design and product teams to translate user needs into exceptional frontend experiences
  
• Take ownership of frontend architecture decisions and ensure code quality and performance
  
• Navigate our technology landscape with focus on React, modern JavaScript, and frontend tooling
  
• Mentor and support Frontend Engineers in modern development techniques, frontend architecture, and AI-assisted programming
• Participate in technical planning and architectural decisions affecting the frontend platform
  
• Shape our frontend future by evaluating new technologies and proposing improvements to our development processes

Technical Skills

• Strong, hands-on experience with React and modern frontend development
• Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern frontend tooling
• Experience leading or owning frontend architecture in production environments
• Commercial experience with React Native (nice to have)
• Solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility
• Experience with state management solutions (Redux, React Query, Zustand, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of frontend performance optimization and best practices
• Familiarity with backend technologies (Java) and APIs for effective full-stack collaboration
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and collaborative development workflows
• Familiarity with AI frameworks and tools, or strong interest in developing expertise in this area
• Experience with AI-assisted programming and implementing AI-powered features is a plus
