Project

We are looking for a Junior Oracle Database Administrator, who will join an ongoing international project. The team supports the development and enhancement of a dedicated trading platform operating within a global financial ecosystem. The platform extends an existing direct-to-client model to additional financial instruments, including fixed income and derivatives products, across key global jurisdictions (EU, UK, US). The role combines database development and administration tasks in a dynamic, high-availability financial environment, with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and data consistency.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain database components supporting data workflows
• Develop and maintain PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and scripts on Oracle Database
• Perform query optimization and troubleshoot performance-related issues
• Support database administration tasks (user management, monitoring, backup & recovery)
• Participate in deployment and release activities, including cloud-based environments

Expected competences and knowledge

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Min. 1 year of experience in software development within a database-centric environment
• Solid knowledge of Oracle Database and PL/SQL development
• Basic DBA skills (performance tuning, backup/recovery, user and access management)
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging complex database issues
• Understanding of relational database concepts and data modeling
• Familiarity with Linux (RHEL 8+) and Windows environments
• Exposure to cloud environments (preferably Oracle Cloud)
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• Collaborative mindset with the ability to engage with stakeholders across departments
• Familiarity with data integration tools (e.g., ETL solutions)
• English min B2 (spoken and written)
