As a Senior Telecoms & Network Support Engineer, you will be working for our client, a leading international financial institution, supporting their worldwide connectivity infrastructure. Your expertise will ensure the stability and resilience of mission-critical networks across 55 countries, driving proactive improvements and supporting innovative infrastructure solutions.
Your main responsibilities:
- Lead and support Telecoms incidents globally, providing expert resolution and ensuring minimal service impact.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of Telecoms infrastructure components and protocols.
- Collaborate within a global NOC team to monitor infrastructure health and facilitate recovery without service disruptions.
- Coordinate with Incident managers, vendors, and technical teams on Data Centre and network incidents.
- Manage vendor relationships, raising tickets, and ensuring contract commitments are met through continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive efforts to reduce infrastructure outages and repeat failures, enhancing service stability.
- Contribute to defining and maintaining global standards, and participate in process and service enhancement projects.
- Work within a diverse, follow-the-sun support model, including shifts and weekends, to ensure 24/7 network availability.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in network support, telecommunications, or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of Data Networks Topologies and Protocols.
- Hands-on experience working with Telecoms infrastructure and associated components.
- Familiarity with ITIL and Agile frameworks.
- A proactive mindset with a drive to improve service quality.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills at all organizational levels.
- Ability to learn new telecoms technologies and supporting tools rapidly.
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Certifications related to network or telecoms support.
- Experience working in a global or multicultural environment.
