Senior AI/ML Engineer

As a Senior AI/ML Software Engineer, you will be working for our client, a global leader in banking technology supporting corporate & institutional banking services. You’ll be part of a dedicated team developing flagship AI and ML projects that are redefining credit and lending solutions. Your main responsibilities:

• Write and maintain high-quality, testable, and reusable code aligned with project standards.

• Lead the design of scalable, robust AI/ML solutions in line with the platform’s strategic vision.

• Own the engineering and deployment of significant AI flagship projects from concept to production.

• Mentor and guide fellow engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.

• Establish and promote best practices in coding standards and AI ethics, ensuring transparency and fairness.

• Evaluate and prototype advanced AI technologies such as RAG techniques, LLM optimization, and agentic architectures.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business needs into innovative technical solutions.

• Develop and implement sophisticated retrieval and data analysis solutions using RAG and vector databases on complex financial data.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 5+ years of experience in senior engineering roles

• Deep expertise in Python and its ML/AI ecosystem; familiarity with Java is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL), vector databases, KV stores (Redis), and pub/sub systems.

• Solid understanding of microservices architecture, API design, observability, and concurrency models.

• Proven hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), fine-tuning, RAG, prompt engineering, and designing agentic architectures.

• In-depth knowledge of machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and experimentation with LLMs.

• Proficiency in cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, containerization, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or Azure DevOps.

• Commitment to engineering best practices like TDD and BDD.

• Excellent communication skills in English, capable of engaging both technical and business stakeholders at all levels.

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Certifications or experience in advanced AI/ML methodologies.
