Staff AI Engineer - Automation & Agentic Workflows

We are currently looking for a Staff AI Engineer to join an advanced AI and automation initiative within the construction technology space.

You will take a leading role in building and scaling an automation ecosystem powered by AI and agent-based workflows. The focus is on creating intelligent systems that streamline complex operational processes and support end users in their day-to-day work.

The team is developing modern solutions that combine automation platforms, cloud data infrastructure, and AI technologies to improve efficiency across the entire construction lifecycle.

Your responsibilities

• Take ownership of the automation ecosystem, including configuration and deployment of workflow platforms (e.g. low-code tools)

• Design and develop advanced agent-based workflows capable of handling multi-step processes and decision-making

• Build and maintain integrations between APIs, data platforms, and AI-driven components

• Combine low-code solutions with custom Python scripting where needed to extend system capabilities

• Design and implement human-in-the-loop solutions to ensure control and transparency of AI-driven actions

• Ensure smooth data flow between systems, including data platforms such as Databricks

• Define best practices, document solutions, and support knowledge sharing within the team

• Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to building team standards

• Evaluate and experiment with different AI models and tools to identify optimal solutions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining automation or integration solutions in production environments

• Strong experience with enterprise low-code / no-code platforms (e.g. Workato, Make, Moveworks, or similar)

• Solid Python skills, with the ability to implement custom logic and integrations

• Practical experience working with LLMs and AI-driven solutions in real use cases

• Strong understanding of APIs, system integrations, and workflow design

• Ownership mindset and ability to drive solutions end-to-end

• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

• Experience working in distributed, remote environments

• English proficiency (C1/C2)
