Krakow-based opportunity with a hybrid working model: 2 days in the office and 3 days remote
As a Production Support Engineer (SWIFT), you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services, responsible for providing 24/7 support for critical payment services. These services, utilizing IBM Sterling Integrator and various file transmission protocols, enable corporate customers to send and receive payments, reports, and other financial transactions. You will be contributing to the ongoing maintenance and improvement of global systems, ensuring high availability and smooth operation for over 4000 clients worldwide, while adhering to ITIL best practices and working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Your main responsibilities:
- Investigating system failures and incidents reported on the services supported
- Communicating with various business and IT teams to resolve issues
- Performing root-cause analysis and implementing production fixes
- Providing on-call support and being flexible to work in shifts, including weekends
- Adhering to SLAs and service delivery procedures defined by ITIL framework
- Supporting critical payment and reporting systems in a 24/7 environment
- Collaborating with a global team to ensure seamless service delivery
- Documenting issues and solutions for future reference and continuous improvement
- Ensuring the stability and security of the SWIFT gateway services
- Proactively monitoring systems and resolving potential issues before they affect customers
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- Fluent English
- Proven experience as a production technical support engineer
- Excellent problem-solving and root cause investigation skills
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, particularly in payment systems
- Experience with Host to Host and SWIFT gateways
- Knowledge of file transmission protocols like FTPS, SFTP, AS2, SOAP, and SwiftNet FileAct
- Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator, Sterling Engine proxy, and Sterling configuration manager
- Proficiency in Java and Unix/Linux environments
- Knowledge of Oracle Databases
- Positive 'can-do' attitude, self-motivation, and adaptability in learning new technologies
It is a strong plus if you have:
- ITIL Accreditation
- Knowledge of Payment & Cash Management systems
- Familiarity with Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management procedures
- Experience with APIs and Cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of MQ and Microservices architecture
