Machine Learning Team Lead – Cloud and Deep Learning

As an Machine Learning Team Lead, you will be working for our client, a pioneering industry leader in artificial intelligence and data science. You will oversee the delivery of high-quality ML scoring solutions, such as click and conversion predictions, powering Sponsored Offers. Your leadership will drive cutting-edge projects, from model training to deployment, ensuring strategic alignment and technical excellence. Your main responsibilities:

• Lead and manage a team responsible for developing and deploying sophisticated machine learning models, ensuring project milestones are met on schedule.

• Oversee the full model lifecycle including data preparation, feature engineering, training, evaluation, calibration, and controlled rollout.

• Coordinate transition of scoring responsibilities from existing teams in collaboration with backend and product stakeholders.

• Provide expert insights and guidance on deep learning models, feature spaces, and lifecycle standards.

• Drive the training scope for deep learning models, maintaining high quality and efficiency.

• Collaborate across ML, backend, and product teams to ensure strategic alignment and high performance.

• Contribute to future ML roadmaps, leveraging expertise to optimize Sponsored Offers’ machine learning solutions.

• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including director-level, to report on progress, insights, and impact.

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• 8+ years of experience in Machine Learning or Data Science roles within production environments.

• 2+ years of direct people management experience, leading teams successfully.

• Proven expertise in end-to-end model lifecycle processes: data engineering, feature engineering, training, evaluation, and deployment.

• Strong hands-on skills in Python and SQL, with practical knowledge of ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

• Experience working with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Storage).

• Ability to drive cross-functional projects and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

• Good command of English at B2 level or higher.

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience in AdTech, recommendation systems, or marketplace ranking at scale.

• Familiarity with model artifact repositories, CI/CD pipelines for ML, and experiment tracking tools.

• Experience working with online inference environments and platform teams.

• Knowledge of developing pCTR/pCVR-like models.

Language Required for the role:

• Good command of English (B2 level or higher).
