Helpdesk Specialist - Data Support

As a Helpdesk Specialist (Data Support), you will be working for our client, a global leader in quantitative and systematic investment management. Operating across all liquid asset classes, their mission is to harness data, research, and technology to unlock high-quality investment returns. Join their innovative team and contribute to solving complex data challenges that drive financial success and growth.

Your main responsibilities:

• Provide first-line support to quantitative researchers and traders for data access, issues, and tool usage

• Collaborate with data engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data-related problems

• Assist in onboarding new team members and train them on data tools and processes

• Maintain, enhance, and document data systems, pipelines, and APIs

• Manage support workflows using JIRA, track requests, and ensure timely resolution of issues

• Contribute to expanding data coverage through live collection and backfills

• Support data quality assurance and documentation efforts to uphold high standards

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• At least 2 years of experience in data support, IT helpdesk, or technical support within finance or data environments

• Strong command of Python and relevant data libraries

• Proficiency with data systems, pipelines, and APIs

• Experience working with JIRA or similar project management tools

• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and communication abilities

It is a strong plus if you have: (optional)

• Experience in finance or investment industries

• Familiarity with data science or analytics tools

• Certifications related to data or support technologies

Language Required for the role:

• Fluent English proficiency (good command in both written and spoken skills)
