As an Expert Network Security Architect – IDPS & Cybersecurity Leadership, you will be working for our client, a global leader in financial services dedicated to safeguarding digital assets and building resilient networks. You will contribute to designing and implementing cutting-edge intrusion detection and prevention solutions, shaping the future of cyber resilience within the organization. Your main responsibilities:
- Lead the engineering and design of advanced IDPS solutions, ensuring alignment with security policies and industry best practices.
- Provide subject matter expertise on network security threats, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to review projects, advise on security controls, and drive improvements across network security architecture.
- Analyze cybersecurity data, system logs, and network traffic to identify vulnerabilities and support decision-making.
- Share knowledge, coach team members, and promote best practices within the cybersecurity community.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including global Cybersecurity teams and business units.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive security measures, ensuring compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
- Take ownership of complex security initiatives, leading them to successful completion with minimal supervision.
You're ideal for this role if you have:
- At least 6 years of hands-on experience in network security engineering, with a focus on IDPS and intrusion prevention.
- Expertise in network design, firewalls, load balancers, DDoS mitigation, and related security technologies.
- Strong understanding of network security threats, risk management, and mitigation techniques.
- Proven ability to analyze complex cybersecurity data and develop strategic insights.
- Excellent communication skills and experience working with technical and management teams.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or Perl.
- Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or CCNA/CCIE are a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Cybersecurity (or equivalent experience).
It is a strong plus if you have:
- Experience with cloud security concepts and tools.
- Knowledge of security operations activities, incident response, and SIEM tools.
- Familiarity with Agile or DevOps delivery methodologies.
Language Required for the role:
- Fluency in English, with strong command in both written and verbal communication.
