Database Support Engineer

Location: Krakow (100% remote possible)

Join our international IT support team and take ownership of critical database environments! We’re looking for an experienced specialist to support, maintain, and improve database systems and related components such as SSIS, SSRS, and IIS. You will join the EU International Application Support team as a Second Line Support Engineer, focusing primarily on database infrastructure, not application-level support.

Your responsibilities:

• Maintenance, support, and development of MS SQL Server-based systems (T-SQL, SSIS, SSRS) 
• Proactive monitoring and administration of production environments (databases and IIS servers) 
• Implementing changes, patches, and new features in supported environments 
• Incident analysis and resolution, including root cause identification and escalation 
• Collaboration with business users and technical teams across regions 
• Support for audits and operational compliance activities 
• Providing technical expertise regarding database access and role segregation (excluding SQL Server Agent) 

You're ideal for the role if you have:

• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with MS SQL Server and T-SQL (data types, indexing, clustering, etc.)
• Proven experience with SSIS and SSRS
• Experience working with Internet Information Services (IIS)
• Background in maintaining and supporting customer-facing production systems
• Familiarity with Incident Management processes
• Ability to work independently, prioritize, and manage multiple systems/users
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills
• Quick learner attitude when facing new technologies or procedures

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Familiarity with C# .NET or Java (for basic code understanding)
• Experience in an international and multi-site environment
• Understanding of tools or approaches used for role/access management within a database context
