Automation Tester (API tests)

As a Automation Tester, you will be working for our client, a leading insurance group in Central and Eastern Europe, offering a wide range of insurance products and services. 

You will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of application programming interfaces (APIs). You will focus on testing the functionality, reliability, performance and security of application programming interfaces. You will be working with the following technology stack: Postman, SoapUI, REST Assured in Java, Selenium.

Your main responsibilities:

• Independently writing API tests

• Crafting detailed test cases and scenarios  

• Executing tests and analyzing results 

• Implementing defect fixes and collaborating with developers

• Working closely with development teams and other API consumers to ensure quality

You're ideal for this role if you have:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in testing, with a strong focus on API testing

• Experience with Java and Selenium

• In-depth knowledge of automation testing concepts and best practices

• Proficiency in using testing tools such as Postman

• Strong understanding of RESTful API principles and HTTP protocols

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

It is a strong plus if you have:

• Knowledge of SoapUI and REST Assured
