Purpose of the role

We are looking for an IT Application Manager to oversee and continuously improve one of our key global business applications – the HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) platform. This role combines strong technical understanding of SaaS systems with an ability to manage application lifecycle, integrations, compliance, and governance in a global enterprise environment.

The Application Manager will ensure the platform operates reliably, securely, and in alignment with ISS’s global IT and data governance standards, while supporting our HSE organization in achieving its safety and compliance objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of the global HSE SaaS application, including user access, configuration, license usage, and release cycles.

• Ensure the platform meets local and global compliance requirements, including data privacy and audit controls.

• Oversee change control and release management, coordinating with internal IT teams and external vendors.

• Standardize and streamline incident handling, service requests, and reporting processes.

• Monitor system performance and SLA compliance, ensuring high availability and stability.

• Support data integrations, data quality monitoring, and continuous improvement of data flows between systems.

• Act as the IT point of contact for the HSE business function, bridging technical and functional needs.

Who you’ll work with

• Global HSE, Sustainability, and Compliance teams.

• Internal IT functions – including integration, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and support teams.

• External SaaS vendor and managed service providers.

• Data governance, enterprise architecture, and global IT leadership.

Key Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in IT application or platform management within a global enterprise.

• Experience with SaaS platforms – configuration, integrations, and lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with identity and access management, audit controls, and change management.

• Understanding of data governance principles and privacy regulations (GDPR or equivalent).

• Knowledge of HSE processes or compliance systems is an advantage, but not mandatory.

• Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and vendors across regions.
