Senior Database Administrator (Azure & SQL)

We are looking for experienced team players to fill the position of Senior Database Administrator (Azure & SQL) and participate in our up-and-coming project

You can expect to:

• Lead administration, provisioning, and lifecycle management of Microsoft SQL Server environments (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server on Azure VMs, and on-premises).
  

• Own SQL Server performance management and tuning in Azure and hybrid environments (query optimization, indexing, capacity planning, troubleshooting).

• Design, implement, and validate backup, restore, and point-in-time recovery strategies.

• Architect and maintain high availability and disaster recovery solutions (Always On Availability Groups, Azure Failover Groups, replication).

• Define and enforce database security, compliance, and governance standards (RBAC, encryption, GDPR/HIPAA).

• Establish monitoring and observability using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.

• Drive automation and DB Ops practices using Infrastructure as Code, PowerShell, T-SQL, and Azure CI/CD pipelines.

• Lead incident response and root cause analysis for database incidents.

• Collaborate closely with application teams to review designs and guide schema evolution.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of experience with SQL Server or other relational databases.
  

• Proficiency in writing, optimizing, and debugging complex SQL queries and stored procedures.
  

• Good understanding of data security, integrity, and compliance practices.
  

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills 

• Ability to lead stakeholders and propose creative solutions.
