About the Role

We are looking for an Application Operations Engineer (AppOps) to join a large-scale Data Center Migration program. In this role, you will support the migration and ongoing operation of business-critical applications used in payment card issuing and acquiring processes.

These systems support essential payment processing functions, including transaction authorization and high-volume transaction processing, delivered through a combination of internally developed solutions and external vendor applications.

You will work closely with application, middleware, and infrastructure teams to ensure smooth migration, stable operations, and high availability of the application environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as Application Operations (AppOps) specialist within a data center migration project

• Administer, configure, and maintain application environments supporting payment card issuing and acquiring systems

• Monitor application environments to ensure availability, stability, and performance

• Provide incident and problem resolution to maintain continuity of application server operations

• Verify and implement changes delivered to production systems

• Collaborate with project managers and technical teams during environment build, testing, and migration phases

• Prepare and manage infrastructure build, configuration, and access requests

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues in complex application environments

• Monitor environments for performance, reliability, and resilience

• Maintain high-quality operational documentation in Confluence

• Work with external vendors and internal international teams

Required Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL

• Scripting experience with Perl, PowerShell, Shell, Bash, or Python

• Experience in application administration and support

• Experience with application migrations, ideally between data centers

• Understanding of high-availability and high-performance systems

• Familiarity with:

  • infrastructure environments

  • network concepts

  • load balancing

  • TLS/security configurations

• Experience with monitoring and troubleshooting production environments
