Platform DevOps Engineer – Linux/Ansible (SAS Platform)

The expected salary for this position:Core range: 9600 – 17 000 PLN grossExceptional range: 17 000 – 21 000 PLN grossExceptional range applies to candidates who extend their squad‑level ownership by taking on high‑complexity performance challenges, leading critical improvements within their module, and providing additional value such as hands‑on SAS 9/SAS Viya operational experience.

The financial ranges specified in the announcement are adjusted and may differ from the range specified in the remuneration regulations.

We are looking for you, if you:

• monitor and maintain application performance, ensuring high availability and reliability,

• can manage applications at the operating system level (Linux),

• have experience with Ansible for configuration management and are open to working with Terraform (we are currently migrating),

• can work with Oracle databases at the level of space management, structures and performance parameters (no SQL query tuning required),

• analyze and solve problems efficiently and systematically,

• communicate clearly and deliver results as promised,

• understand or are ready to learn IT risk management and DORA requirements,

• are familiar with CI/CD concepts and automation mindsets.

You'll get extra points for:

• experience in administering SAS environments (SAS 9, SAS Viya),

• familiarity with MS Azure cloud

Your responsibilities:

• ensure the platform is secure, stable and compliant with IT risk and DORA requirements,

• automate operational activities using Ansible,

• maintain and monitor Oracle environments in areas such as resource allocation, tablespace management, performance parameters

• respond to incidents quickly, perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures,

• monitor and maintain application performance across the SAS platform to ensure optimal availability,

• create and maintain documentation to ensure audit readiness,

• configure and support SAS components on the new platform to enable efficient onboarding of models,

• collaborate with DevOps, platform engineering, and modelling teams to ensure operational readiness and high‑quality modelling capabilities.

Information about the team:

You will join a platform-focused squad delivering a stable, secure and easy-to-use SAS environment that enables ING modelling teams to develop, deploy and run models efficiently.

The platform is evolving towards SAS Viya 4 on Azure, while some components remain on earlier SAS generations. Core cloud infrastructure (Kubernetes, Azure Fabric, networking, scaling) is handled by another engineering squad - your focus stays on platform configuration, automation, model onboarding and operational stability.

You will collaborate with SAS experts, DevOps engineers and cloud specialists, working with global ING modelling teams to ensure reliable, scalable and compliant analytical capabilities.The role naming convention in the global ING job architecture will be “Engineer III”.
