BI Developer (with SQL)

Currently, we are looking for a BI Developer (with SQL) to support our partner in building a Global Analytics Unit - a centralized team with the ambition to strengthen data-driven decision-making and develop smart data products for day-to-day operations. This team serves as an incubator for innovation, creating impactful data products across various business areas, from sales and marketing to logistics and procurement.

Your Role

As a BI Developer, you will play a key role in building and maintaining Business Intelligence solutions with a strong focus on SQL-based data processing. Your expertise in SQL and MySQL will be critical in transforming raw data into meaningful insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support decision-making and develop scalable, high-performing data pipelines and visualizations.

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain efficient SQL queries and procedures for data extraction, transformation, and reporting, as well as Grafana dashboards and visualizations for data monitoring and analysis.
• Build robust BI solutions to support analytics and reporting needs across the organization.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize dashboards and reports using BI tools (Power BI nice-to-have).
• Work with time-series and event-based data using platforms like InfluxDB (should-have).
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and quality across BI systems.
• Cooperate with DevOps and Cloud teams to integrate data solutions with AWS-based infrastructure (nice-to-have).
• Stay up-to-date with best practices in SQL development, BI tools, and data modeling.

What We Expect

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BI Developer, Data Analyst, or similar role with strong focus on SQL and data processing.
• Strong SQL and MySQL skills (must-have).
• Experience with Grafana and/or InfluxDB (should-have).
• Familiarity with BI tools such as Power BI (nice-to-have).
• Ability to work with large datasets and optimize performance of complex queries.
• Understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture.
• Familiarity with cloud environments, particularly AWS (nice-to-have).
• Knowledge of Git and agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
