Master Data Steward (Material Master) – Contract Role
Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid) or Remote
Contract duration: 10–12 months

We are currently looking for a Master Data Steward to support material master data processes within a global organization. This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance, and quality control of product-related data in the company’s ERP system.
The position plays an important role in ensuring that material master data remains accurate, consistent, and compliant with global data governance standards. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple business functions including Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Quality to support daily operations and resolve data-related issues.
Key Responsibilities
Create, maintain, and update material master records within the ERP system
Support the setup and activation of new materials and updates to existing records
Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance with internal data governance standards
Analyze data requests and implement material master changes in a timely manner
Provide support and guidance to internal teams regarding material master data processes
Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Supply Chain, Finance, Sales, and Quality
Participate in data quality initiatives including data validation and cleansing activities
Analyze operational data and support data integrity across systems
Support material setup processes such as pricing, costing, and product extensions where required
Maintain documentation and evidence of changes to key data attributes in line with internal controls
Assist in resolving operational issues related to product or material data
Requirements
3–5 years of experience working with ERP systems and material master data
Hands-on experience with master data management or data stewardship
Experience with material creation, extension, and maintenance processes
Strong attention to detail and focus on data accuracy
Ability to analyze and work with large datasets
Experience working in a cross-functional and international environment
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (especially Excel)
Education & Languages
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Information Systems, or a related field
Fluent English required
Additional European languages are considered an advantage
